Marketing with a Cause
Throughout year, you’ll see that Macy’s features a variety of
worthwhile causes
as the focus of special marketing and sales efforts.
Macy’s helps these causes
in a couple of ways. By including them in our promotional materials, we raise
awareness for their missions. And, often, our efforts channel a percentage of
sales to help fund their organizations.
In 2008, Macy’s raised record amounts of funding for organizations such as the
American Heart Association’s Go Red for
Women program, Make-A-Wish Foundation,
Reading Is
Fundamental’s Multicultural Literacy Campaign,
Bag Hunger, Shop
for a Cause, the National Park
Foundation and others.
As an
associate, you can participate by shopping during these special events. Or if
you interact with our customers, you can help promote cause marketing efforts by
putting in a good word for them.
