What is the first step in applying for a position within Macy's, Inc.?

What are the steps in the interview process?
The interview process varies somewhat depending on the position you are seeking. For all positions, expect to complete a more detailed application when you come in to see us. At each step of the process, we will let you know what to expect next.

What skills do I need to be eligible?
The skills needed vary by positions - we have included a list of required skills next to each position description.

What training can I expect if I join the company?
We provide the necessary training for each level in the company. For more information, visit the Training page.

What are the opportunities for advancement?
We believe in promotion from within. In fact, some of our most senior executives started in sales or stock! Naturally, you need to succeed in one position before being promoted to the next level.

Do I need to have prior experience in retail?
No experience is needed for our entry-level sales and support positions!
