In our NY corporate offices, we have positions in a wide range of areas such public relations, marketing, finance and human resources. What does Macy's, Inc. do to help me balance work and home life?
We offer lifestyle-friendly schedules in both the stores and central organizations. In stores, this includes half of the weekends off for executives and full time regulars in most areas - very unusual in retailing! Other WorkLife programs include on site time saving opportunities such as dry cleaning; money saving opportunities like discounts with day care centers, other mall retailers and restaurants; on-side wellness programs including flu shots, blood pressure screening, nutritional and weight loss classes; and on-site educational seminars such as financial planning, dance lessons, and Spanish lessons. Options vary by location as associates in each location help determine which programs would mean most to them. If I join the company in a temporary or seasonal job, what are the chances of coming on board full-time?
Each year, we retain many of our seasonal associates. In fact, many of our long-term associates started in temporary positions.
