Job Overview:
As a Bloomingdale's Alterations associate you help the customer look great and feel wonderful about his or her new purchase. Fitting the garment to the customer is the final step in closing the sale, so alterations play a key role in our business. You will be responsible for working on both men's and women's garments including suits and evening wear.
Key accountabilities:
 | Marking garments correctly; ability to follow markings done by others. |
| Using all alterations equipment (pressers, sewing machines, etc.) appropriately and safely. |
| Work rapidly and accurately. |
| Following department safety rules. |
| Knowing which garments can/cannot be altered and understanding different fabrics/styling. |
| Presenting a pleasant and positive attitude to the customers. |
Skill Summary
| Experience in high-end men's and women's apparel essential. |
| Full knowledge of the complete alterations process is required. |
| Must be able to work nights and weekends. |
