OVERVIEW:


The Bloomingdale’s Marketing Analytics team is looking for an analyst that will work closely with our Digital Analytics, Data Science and Data Engineering teams to not only analyze customer data, but use that data to tell a story about who our customer is and what her journey with Bloomingdale’s has been. You will be expected to create data visualization dashboards to convey that story to many different audiences throughout the company, and even create presentations for our stakeholders. While we often support various marketing campaigns with our analytics, every team member works cross functionally with buyers and planners, finance and operations professionals, as well as the entire executive team to enrich the business. This role would sit within our bloomingdales.com department, with an added focus on our customers’ digital engagement.  Perform other duties as assigned.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with stakeholders across the company to understand their data needs and come up with innovative solutions to deliver them your analysis.
  • Data storytelling through dashboards and formal presentations to help business people at any level understand our customers.
  • Create reporting to help our stakeholders understand the impact of various campaigns and programs, considering concepts like ROI.
  • Using customer value segmentation and customer lifetime value to target different customer groups and implement individualization efforts in our business.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a data analyst.
  • Bachelor’s degree with engineering, business, finance, data science, computer science, or other relevant majors preferred.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, especially when it comes to requirements gathering, communicating with stakeholders, and summarizing and presenting analysis.

Other Skills:

  • SQL experience required, Python preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of data visualization concepts and tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Ability to conduct qualitative market research and perform qualitative analysis, identify trends and patterns in the data and tell a compelling story through visualization and presentation.

Work Hours:

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
